Platform Flip Flops
Every girl in elementary school had these shoes. Made primarily of foam, these shoes were loud, awkward, tacky, and flimsy. This fad quickly lasted a few years until the flip, ultimately flopped.

Sweat Suits
Sweat suits, especially the ones made by Juicy Couture, were incredibly popular in the early 2000s. They were not used to be exercised in but the velvet tracksuit became acceptable wear for errands, soccer games, dinners, and everywhere else. It was seen as cool to wear overpriced sweatpants everywhere. This fad was popular for several years.
